New Form Clarification

I’ve gotten a few questions about the new form already – I’m so glad to see you’re all following the blog so closely!

The non-compete portion states you cannot write for any of our clients.  Any outside writing you do is perfectly fine, provided it is not for any of our current or former clients.

Any further questions, don’t hesitate to ask!

I don’t have a problem with signing this agreement, but my question is this: how do I know who these clients are? I certainly don’t want to break the agreement, but it is not clear to me who my articles are for. Currently I am given a generalization for the list to be composed, so will this change in the future?

    Thanks,
    Rhonda

The clients will be revealed on a need-to-know basis. It is unlikely that you would encounter any of our clients outside of working through us. :)
We aren’t unreasonable, and we realize that if you don’t know who our clients are, you won’t know who to avoid. The non-compete is for AFTER a client is revealed to you.
Does this clarify things a bit?

    Ah, yes. Thank you!
